Q. I'm unable to provide my artwork as a print-ready Illustrator vector art (.ai, eps) file.
What are my options?
A. Here are several for you to consider:
1).
Contact the original designer and determine if they can provide the artwork to us in solid color Illustrator format (.ai, eps) vector art.
2).
Hire a designer to recreate your artwork in vector format. (Call 800.969.9913 for a quote to have our art department properly recreate your artwork in vectors for you).
3).
Consider ordering blank (unimprinted) table covers. |

2). Can you use my JPG file? No. Our 1 -3 color custom imprinting process requires a simple Adobe Illustrator format (.ai, eps) vector art file. [Download our print-ready specs] Some of the common file formats we receive that ARE NOT printable include (but are not limited to) JPG, GIF, PSD, TIF, PDF, WMF, Quark, InDesign, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Simply put... the only file format we can imprint from is Adobe Illustrator (.ai, eps). Every other file format will require someone to properly create an Illustrator format file that can be imprinted in 1, 2 or 3 colors. Download our print-ready specs (see also I'm unable to provide my artwork as a print-ready Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file). [top of page]
3). What file format does my print-ready artwork need to be in? For your artwork to be imprinted in 1-3 solid colors, it must be submitted as an Adobe Illustrator (.ai) vector art format file. [Download our print-ready specs] Vector art is made up of lines and curves defined by mathematical objects called vectors (thus the name). Vector art is resolution independent. Therefore, it can be scaled to any size without loss of quality. All text must be converted to outlines, paths or curves (vectors) before submitting. If not, you'll need to convert all text to outines and resubmit a new file before we can proceed. [Download our print-ready specs] (see also I'm unable to provide my artwork as a print-ready Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file). [top of page]
4). Can you match the colors in my logo? We have 19 imprint colors available for you to choose from (white, black, gold, red, royal, navy, gray, kelly, maroon, purple, dark green, cardinal, brown, shark teal, columbia, maize, orange, old gold and pink). Your artwork must be designed using these colors. PMS color matches are not available. Refer to our imprint color chart or print-ready specs for more details. (see also: My design has more than 3 colors. What are my options?) [top of page]
5). Can my design utilize drop shadows? 1-3 color artwork must be designed using solid colors from our color chart only and cannot include screens, tints, drop shadows, gradations, photos, bitmaps or any type of special effects. [Download our print-ready specs] If your art design requires more than simple vector art, it may still be printed but will require our full-color, digital printing (Available for table coverings only). For pricing and information on full-color table coverings, please follow this link: Full-color table throws, table covers and table runners. (see also: My design has more than 3 colors. What are my options?) [top of page]
6). How do I submit my Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file to your art department? To submit your Illustrator format file for imprinting, follow this link [UpLoad Direct FTP]. You will be asked to complete a form providing our art department with the necessary information they'll need to process your art and order. Once you complete and submit this form, you will be redirected to a page with instuctions on how to submit your file. [top of page]
7). My design has more than 3 colors. What are my options? Again, there are several options for you to consider. (A) Have your artwork printed using our full-color, digital process (CMYK). This process is currently available for table coverings only. Follow this link full-color table throws, table covers and table runners for pricing and information. (B) Have your designer change your artwork to 1 or 3-colors (C) Contact our sales department (800.969.9913) to provide you with a quote for us to properly format your artwork for you. [top of page] |
